I’m a big fan of transparency so I’m going to walk you through my process and tell you a little bit about my approach to a wedding day
Weddings and Elopements are my absolute favorite things to photograph
I’ve been photographing couples and weddings since 2015 and one of the most important things I’ve learned so far is that no two couples are the same. I’ll never expect you to fit into a mold or for you to know exactly what to do. Instead, I will guide you into natural poses, give you fun and sometimes silly prompts, and do my best to get to know you with the understanding that sometimes being in front of a camera is not the most comfortable place to be. My goal is to help you get into the moment and out of your head.
I want you to have honest photos of you and your love. Whether that means giggling your way through our sessions or taking a more romantic approach. I want your images to feel like you and when you look back at them I want you to remember the way you felt at this time in your life.
I love a candid moment.
You know the ones.. where someone’s loved one is getting choked up, Grandma is busting a move on the dance floor or they’re smiling so much that it looks like their face hurts. I love those images because I love those moments. Those images are what I like to call “the goods” They hit me right in the feels and if you love those images too, you’re in good company.
Candid imagery is important to me which is why take a documentary approach on a wedding day. You can expect lots of candid photos during your getting ready, ceremony, and reception. I’ll also do a fun mix of posed portraits of you and your closest friends and family. I really try to let the day unfold as it is and only give guidance when needed. I’m not into faking moments. I like that good stuff. The real stuff.
I will however always guide you into flattering light and make suggestions for better images throughout the day and during the planning process. I want you to have beautiful photos to look back on for you and future generations and sometimes that takes planning.
I believe these memories are so important and being able to photograph such a big day in your life is not something I take lightly. However, I will bring bad dance moves and dad jokes to your wedding. That’s a promise.
I hope to feel like more than just a wedding vendor because I want you to feel like you can be free to be yourself. After all, that’s when the magic happens.
